Blue-chip Muay Thai rising star Johan Ghazali always wants to fight the best athletes under the ONE Championship banner. He will get his wish at ONE 170 on Jan. 24, 2025, as he faces Johan Estupinan in a flyweight Muay Thai bout.
During the virtual media day for ONE's first numbered card of the new year, 18-year-old 'Jojo' said this about his eighth opponent in the world's largest martial arts promotion:
"He's definitely a step up in competition. But that's what I came for. I expected this in ONE Championship and I feel all my next fights will be a step up in competition. So I'm ready. He is definitely a step up in competition, but it's something I'm used to."

The Malaysian-American has logged five knockouts in his six-win ONE tenure, though he could be in for a rough night against Estupinan inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Since debuting in May, 'Panda Kick' has quickly established himself as a must-watch fighter after posting three finishes in four victories.
With the knockout artists set to battle at ONE 170, the winner could earn a coveted top-five spot in the 135-pound Muay Thai division's rankings.
Johan Ghazali promises to avenge older brother's defeat to Johan Estupinan
Johan Ghazali has a bone to pick with Johan Estupinan at ONE 170 after revealing in a recent interview with ONE that the Colombian striker defeated his older brother Elias during their time on the amateur circuit.
The Rentap Muay Thai Gym product stated:
"I don't think many of you know, but he fought my older brother once. My brother lost, it was a close fight. [I'm] Getting ready to get some revenge for my brother. It will be a good fight, definitely."
