“He evolved” - Fabricio Andrade gives credit to Kwon Won Il for evolving his game ahead of ONE 170 world title tussle

Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade of Brazil says he has no doubt South Korean rival 'Pretty Boy' Kwon Won Il improved since the last time they met in the Circle.

But that all credit belongs to him.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Andrade says his victory over Kwon in June of 2022 forced the South Korean star to evolve and adapt. And now, he is better than ever before.

'Wonder Boy' said:

"I think after he was knocked out by me, he evolved, trained a lot, and evolved his striking and grappling. It really shows that he’s improved a lot since we fought."

Andrade will defend his ONE bantamweight MMA world title against Kwon in a highly anticipated rematch this weekend.

The two lock horns in the co-main event of ONE 170, which will broadcast live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand this Friday, Jan. 24.

Brazilian star 'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade admits upcoming opponent 'Pretty Boy' Kwon Won Il has some pretty good strengths.

The problem is Andrade doesn't believe Kwon knows how to take advantage of them.

'Wonder Boy' told ONE Championship:

"What I see in his game is the same as I saw the first time I faced him. He's a guy who doesn't know how to use the good wingspan he has."
