Undisputed ONE featherweight MMA world champion Tang Kai revealed that Martin Nguyen is on his wish list of preferred challengers.
Before the Chinese superstar wreaked havoc in the 155-pound MMA ranks, it was Nguyen who used his atomic right hand to strike fear in the hearts of everyone in the division.
At one point, 'The Situ-Asian' was so dominant that he even captured 26 pounds of gold in the weight class above and became the promotion's first-ever two-weight world champion at featherweight and lightweight.
While the veteran Nguyen has hit a rough patch as of late, Tang Kai hopes he can make another run and perhaps challenge for a world title again.

The Sunkin International Fight Club star pupil said in a ONE Championship interview:
"I do wish to face Martin Nguyen one day, because he is the first two-division world champion in ONE, and he is a good striker too, so I believe it will be very exciting if I fought with him."
Stylistically, a potential Tang Kai vs. Martin Nguyen matchup has all the makings of an epic firefight. Both sluggers love to throw down with evil intent in the middle of Circle and won't hesitate to put the other one out in highlight reel fashion.
Meanwhile, Nguyen is scheduled to face No. 3-ranked Shamil Gasanov at ONE 171: Qatar on Feb. 20 at Lusail Sports Arena.
Tang Kai must first extinguish fellow heavy-hitter Akbar Abdullaev
For now, Tang Kai's full and undivided attention is on his next challenger Akbar Adbullaev, who has had a flawless MMA run so far.
Unbeaten in 11 career matches, 'Bakal' has displayed frightening finishing capabilities in the world's largest martial arts organization, with all of his victories coming by stoppages.
While Tang is aware of the Kyrgztani challenger's freakish power, he has full trust in his own explosive abilities. The featherweight MMA world champion told ONE:
"I think we both are good strikers and we each have knockout power, but the key is who can find their timing first."
