Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou believes Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was wrongfully booked in their Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt yesterday (November 28).
The Red Devils hosted the Norwegian side at Old Trafford in Ruben Amorim's first game at home. The Portuguese boss officially assumed his role on November 11 and his first match in charge against Ipswich Town ended in a 1-1 draw.
Alejandro Garnacho managed to open the scoring in the opening minute against Bodo/Glimt but Manchester United found themselves 2-1 down by the 23rd minute of the first half. Rasmus Hojlund then equalized just before the break before completing his brace in the 50th minute, securing all three points in a 3-2 win for the Red Devils.
Onana was shown a yellow card towards the end of the match for delaying a restart and the referee's decision didn't seem fair to Ngannou, who was in attendance at Old Trafford.

In an interview with TNT Sports after the game, the Cameroonian fighter heaped praise on his fellow countryman, naming him the Man of the Match. He said:
"It was a good game. We had fun. There was a lot of action. Yes, it's my first time here [at Old Trafford]. It was a very good experience, and then we have a victory. He had a great game, even though he took a yellow card for free. I think that the yellow card was for free. But he had a really good game. He was the man of the game."
Manchester United will next face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday (December 1).
Owen Hargreaves urges Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim to make tactical change ahead of Arsenal clash
Former Manchester United star Owen Hargreaves has warned Ruben Amorim against using a two-man midfield in their tougher Premier League fixtures this season.
Amorim continues to use the 3-4-3 system at Old Trafford, having implemented the same formation at Sporting CP that brought success to the club. Christian Eriksen and Casemiro were deployed against Ipswich while Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes played the double pivot against Bodo/Glimt.
After their Everton clash this weekend, Manchester United travel to north London to face Arsenal, and Amorim will be eager to secure his first Premier League win. Hargreaves has advised the Portuguese manager to use three men in the middle of the park against the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City. He said:
"I don’t think he has the personnel that he had at Sporting. I think if you’re going to play two in there [midfield], they need to be two super-athletes and cover the distances. I’m not sure they have that as such."
"I think they’ve got some really good players, different players but he might have to tweak it that maybe one of the No. 10s drops in and one of the wing-backs gets a little bit higher for the width. But I think playing two in there against an Arsenal or a [Manchester] City, I think that’s going to be really, really difficult. I think it’s a work in progress, we need to be patient but we’re getting there," he concluded.
