“He is great at improvising the game plan” - Nabil Anane in awe of Petchtanong’s ability to adapt inside the ring

Nabil Anane can't help but marvel at Petchtanong Petchfergus' ability to adapt on the fly.

Anane will find out firsthand this Friday night, Dec. 6, when he returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for a showdown with Petchtanong at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.

Since coming up short in his promotional debut against two-sport king Superlek Kiatmoo9, Anane has bounced back with five big wins, including highlight-reel knockouts against Nakrob Fairtex and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai. With a win over Petchtanong, the Algerian-Thai sensation can extend his unbeaten streak and work his way into the kickboxing top five.

However, Anane knows that will be no easy task as he takes on an experienced legend of the sport with speed and an unmatched ability to improvise against his opponents.

In a recent conversation with the Bangkok Post, Anane said:

“He’s technical. He’s got fast left kicks. He is great at improvising the game plan – and he has got loads of experience.”

Nabil Anane promises a 'fun fight' against kickboxing veteran Petchtanong

Thus far, Nabil Anane has made a name for himself in the art of eight limbs, earning big wins over the likes of former one-time ONE world title challenger Felipe Lobo and Lethwei legend Soe Lin Oo.

At ONE Fight Night 26, Anane will wear eight-ounce gloves for the first time as he makes his kickboxing debut. He said:

"This is my first kickboxing fight in ONE, and I'm already facing a former champion. I think I've learned a lot. I've got more experience now. It'll be a fun fight."

With Petchtanong sitting as the third-ranked contender in the bantamweight kickboxing division, Anane has a massive opportunity to position himself for title opportunities in two different sports. Not too shabby for a 20-year-old making his seventh promotional appearance.
