Thai-Malaysian upstart Aliff Sor Dechapan thinks Walter Goncalves' lack of follow-up shots is one of his biggest flaws.

The 20-year-old goes toe-to-toe with the Brazilian slugger in a strawweight Muay Thai matchup that will open the promotion's loaded ONE 169 card inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, Nov. 8.

Speaking on Goncalves' style based on his past appearances inside the Circle, Aliff told ONE Championship last week:

"He has a habit of punching and then backing away. I got that from his fight with heavy-hitter Thongpoon [PK Saenchai]."

As a fighter who throws volume, with each strike loaded with knockout power, the Sor Dechapan man vows to take full advantage of every exchange in their scheduled three-round scrap.

Besides, the young gun believes Goncalves might wrongly be mistaking him to be an easy fight, and he'll be happy to play along and surprise him when it matters most.

The striker continued:

"I believe he will be the one to come to me because he'll think I'm weaker than him."

Aliff shares his perfect strategy to oust Walter Goncalves at ONE 169

If Walter Goncalves' brings the fight to him as he expects, Aliff is confident he'd be able to beat his foe to the punch and connect with one of his match-ending kicks.

In the same interview, the Sor Dechapan martial artist went on to add:

"I'll wait for the right moment when he walks towards me. And then I'll counter his punch with a high kick."

With a victory on fight night, the Thai-Malaysian star will move to 6-2 under the ONE Championship banner.

Catch him and Goncalves throw down at ONE 169, available to active Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America live in U.S. primetime for free on Friday, Nov. 8.
