Reigning ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel made quick work of Dmitry Menshikov in their world title clash at ONE Fight Night 11 in June 2023 in front of the packed Lumpinee Stadium crowd in Bangkok, Thailand.

'The Immortal' only needed one clean shot against Menshikov to end the fight in the opening round. He was able to find the temple of the Russian challenger and landed a solid left hook that not only knocked him down but also made him unable to continue the match.

This awarded Eersel a knockout finish to successfully retain his 26-pound golden belt. Fans were astonished about this one-shot knockout power of the Surinamese sensation, and they sent their reaction to this fantastic win through their comments:

Regian Eersel is hesitant to give MMA a try but still thoroughly thinks about it

Ahead of his world title rematch with Alexis Nicolas on Oct. 4 for the headliner of ONE Fight Night 25 inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Eersel was interviewed by MMA UK and was asked about his possible move to mixed martial arts.

The Sityodtong Amsterdam-affiliated athlete reveals that he is still contemplating this since it is not his expertise, as he stated:

"But on the other side, it's not my sport. So it's only a thought. But yeah, you know how it goes. I'm a fighter also. So sometimes I think like that."

ONE Fight Night 25 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America on Oct. 4 during U.S. primetime.
