Mohamed Younes Rabah believes Eddie Abasolo's electric strikes are all flash and no substance.
While 'Silky Smooth's athleticism and incredible reflexes are a joy to watch for fans, the Algerian thinks he's lacking proper fundamentals, particularly in his striking defense.
As far as Younes Rabah is concerned, Abasolo's style is so wild that he often leaves himself open for counters.
'The Eagle' plans to exploit those supposed cracks when he meets the Filipino-American in a three-round featherweight MMA slugfest this coming Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug.

The 27-year-old striker said in a ONE Championship interview ahead of their showdown at 'The Mecca of Muay Thai' Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand:
“He’s very clever, very smart. He has good technique. But I think he is slow and doesn’t have enough power, and he leaves a lot of openings in his guard.”
Abasolo has indeed produced highlight reel-worthy moments in his run under the home of martial arts.
Then again, as Mohamed Younes Rabah observed, the 38-year-old often gets too careless, which led to his unsavory 1-3 start in the promotion.
Mohamed Younes Rabah says he'll make Eddie Abasolo pay for his reckless style
Eddie Abasolo loves to throw spinning attacks and unorthodox strikes from different angles.
Mohamed Younes Rabah, though, doesn't seem worried about possibly being caught by the element of surprise.
In the same interview, 'The Eagle' vowed to put 'Silky Smooth' to sleep and promised not to leave this fight at the hands of the judges.
"I think this fight will end in the third round via TKO. I will make him tired in the first and second rounds and finish him in the third round."
