MMA fans recently voiced their opinions about Khalil Rountree Jr.'s take on his loss against Alex Pereira. Rountree's emotions completely differed from what most fighters experience after a loss.
Rountree suffered a TKO defeat against Pereira in his last encounter at UFC 307. However, the fact that he survived Pereira's attacks till the end of the fourth round placed him ahead of the Brazilian's previous rivals at light heavyweight.
'Poatan' finished both of his former light heavyweight champion rivals, Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill, before the end of the second rounds of their respective fights. Rountree refused to give up even after his face became a bloody mess from Pereira's strikes by the end of the third round.
The crowd at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City also cheered Rountree's resilient effort despite finally giving up in the fourth round. A recent X update from @SpinninBackfist highlighted Rountree's opinion about his loss against Pereira, saying he felt "happiness and excitement" even after his UFC 307 loss.

Former UFC champion gives his take on the potential Alex Pereira vs. Khamzat Chimaev fight
Alex Pereira hasn't been keen on accepting Magomed Ankalaev as his next challenger. Also, a rumor about Khamzat Chimaev being Pereira's next rival has been flying around in the MMA world.
In a recent episode of the MMArcade podcast, the former middleweight champ and Chimaev's previous rival, Robert Whittaker, weighed in on how the potential Pereira vs. Chimaev fight might play out. Despite Pereira's awesome record at light heavyweight, Whittaker opined that 'Borz' would ultimately get the better of Pereira:
"Chimaev easily [wins this one]. Oh, easily Chimaev there. I don't know unless the heavyweight strength changes, there's a dynamic that Chimaev can't, Chimaev will get the takedown. He is good at what he does. He plays into his strength."
