Russian champion Anatoly Malykhin's life has changed for the better over the last 18 months, which was exemplified in his title-winning showing at ONE on Prime Video 5. The rising star credits ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong for elevating his life.
'Sladkiy' steamrolled then-fellow unbeaten champ Reinier de Ridder to attain ONE's light heavyweight world title – a truly life-changing moment. However, the 34-year-old knows none of this could've occurred without Sityodtong signing him in 2021.
After his recent victory, Malykhin spoke about signing with ONE in his post-fight presser, stating:
"Mr. Chatri changed my life. He made the life of my family so amazing, he made my dreams come true. And I'm doing what I love every day. I'm training, I'm getting paid for doing what I dreamed of having three belts, so his dream didn't happen."

Anatoly Malykhin continued:

Anatoly Malykhin thanks his wife in heartfelt message
In addition to being grateful for Sityodtong signing him to the promotion, Malykhin is also thankful for the great support that he receives from his wife. After securing the light heavyweight strap, Malykhin penned a message to his wife on Instagram:
"Happy birthday, my universe, girl, you are the only one in the world, thank you for choosing me, making me a champion, every day of yours is happiness and will always be. Our life is a dream, thank you, enjoy."
The question now arises, what will the two-division champ do next? The likely answer is that he'll face heavyweight champ Arjan Bhullar in a title unification bout.
Bhullar claims he's ready to make his long-awaited return to the cirlce after both injuries and negotiations kept him on the sidelines for over a year. The champ heard fighters call him out and he responded via Instagram:
“Great weekend of fights @onechampionship I've been cleared since November 7th. 2 heavyweights called me out this weekend. Give me the 'scariest' one first🙏🏾”
