Alex Pereira was called out by Jake Paul following the latter's devastating TKO win over Mike Perry in one of this weekend's marquee boxing matches. 'Poatan' responded to Paul's challenge by FaceTiming him directly, expressing interest in a bout that would have to jump through several hoops to be made.
After being praised recently by top heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, 'Poatan' was encouraged to pursue a few boxing matches before he calls it a career in combat sports. Pereira responded with enthusiasm and has now been challenged to a boxing match by Paul.

Fans, however, believe that Paul is in over his head with the callout, as Mike Perry is not the same caliber of striker that 'Poatan,' an all-time great kickboxer, is. One fan jokingly warned Paul that he was challenging forces beyond his understanding in reference to Jiří Procházka's past, bizarre black magic claims about Pereira.
"Jake should be careful, he is messing with black magic"
Another fan called for their fight to consist of one round of boxing and one round of MMA in a hybrid-rules match.
"One round of boxing and one round of MMA will be good"
Some fans, though, actually believe Paul could beat Pereira in a boxing match.
"Great rivalry. Who winning? Going for Jake Paul"
This was not a sentiment shared by others.
"Poatan in 2"
A collage of fan reactions can be seen below:
For now, 'The Problem Child' is focused on facing heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson on Nov. 15. Meanwhile, 'Poatan' will likely defend his UFC light heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev, who has been trash-talking him without end in recent weeks.
Alex Pereira accepted Jake Paul's challenge
More than just FaceTiming Jake Paul following the latter's crushing TKO of Mike Perry, Alex Pereira outright accepted 'The Problem Child's' challenge to a boxing match. Pereira shared an Instagram collage of clips consisting of Paul's callout and 'Poatan's' own FaceTime call with him, before captioning it in typical fashion.
"Let's go!! Chama"

Thus, it seems like Pereira is all on board with the fight. Unfortunately, for him, the matchup is unlikely to happen given his contractual obligations as a UFC fighter.
