Fans reacted to a UFC veteran praising two images featuring former United States president Donald Trump.

On Saturday, July 13, Trump held a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, to promote his campaign to become the US president for a second time. The mood quickly changed when a 20-year-old named Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate the controversial politician by firing several shots with an AR-15.

Trump's ear began bleeding after being hit with a bullet, but he ultimately survived any significant damage. The former US President reacted by putting his fist up and screaming "fight" in a photo that will go down in history.

Former UFC fighter Jake Shields posted the image on Twitter alongside Trump's mugshot and added the following caption:

UFC CEO Dana White has consistently voiced his support for Donald Trump, especially with the upcoming election. Once White heard the shocking news, he posted the previously mentioned image of Trump reacting to the assassination attempt and added the following caption:

"I’m on a plane right now flying to Italy and my phone has been blowing up with text messages from people informing me @realdonaldtrump was shot. I am absolutely SICK to my stomach and in complete shock. I still don’t know how bad it is or if he’s ok. But @mickmaynard2 just sent me this picture and I’m praying President Trump is 100% healthy."

White concluded by saying:

Donald Trump was lucky enough to survive the terrifying assassination attempt. Unfortunately, several bystanders at the Pennsylvania rally were hit with bullets, leading to one person passing away and two being critically injured.
