Andre Petroski recently took a dig at his opponent Dylan Budka after beating him at UFC Vegas 97 on Saturday. Petroski claimed that Budka's weigh-in struggle was purely for show.

Following a run of two defeats, Petroski turned things around in July by defeating Josh Fremd via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 59. Meanwhile, Budka lost his UFC debut against Cesar Almeida via second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night 240 in April.

In their middleweight fight at the UFC Apex facility, Petroski dominated. He landed takedowns and controlled Budka on the ground in the opening two rounds. The 33-year-old, though, received a warning for holding on to the cage. In the third round, Petroski's wrestling kept Budka at bay.

After three rounds of action, the judges scored the contest 30-27, 30-27, 30-27 in favor of the more experienced Petroski.

In his post-fight interview, Petroski was questioned about Budka missing the weight limit. For context, the 24-year-old weighed in at 188.5 pounds, 2.5 pounds above the non-title middleweight limit. He also appeared to be in distress, nearly fainting on the scale before being helped off the stage.

During the post-flight press conference, Petroski bashed Budka for his antics, saying (via MMA Junkie on X):

''I thought that he had one foot out of the door. I mean, anyone could tell it was an act. He had weight to lose... I know the face of someone who just quit."
