Jonathan Haggerty has enough on his plate right now without spending too much time on a potential opponent in the near future. The two-sport bantamweight world champion isn't going to be short on challengers for as long as he holds both titles.
At ONE 168 in Denver, he faces what could be the toughest test of his career as he defends the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against Superlek.
As he prepares to undergo the longest camp of his career so far, the flyweight kickboxing king deserves his full attention. That being said, there is another possible challenger whom Haggerty has spoken about a lot in recent times.
Nico Carrillo has emerged as a devastating force in the division and now looks to improve his winning streak to four when he faces Saemapetch Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 23.

In a recent interview on the Sky Sports MMA Club, Haggerty gave his thoughts on Carrillo and whether he believes he has notable weaknesses.
'The General' stated that he sees many things he could target against Carrillo, but for the time being, he's out of sight and out of mind:
"I feel like he's a great fighter. He's huge. He's big for the weight. There are a few things that me and my coach see in him that could be exploited. There's a lot of things really. But once the fight is only agreed, only then will I start to prepare for him."
Jonathan Haggerty is ready to line them up
Nico Carrillo has been very critical of Jonathan Haggerty since he started to make noise in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.
The 'King of the North' believes that he is the future world champion, and he may get his opportunity to test that theory against Haggerty should the champion prevail on September 6.
'The General' said himself that he wants to silence Carrillo next after defeating Superlek at ONE 168, but he's focused on the task at hand.
ONE 168 will air live from the Ball Arena in Denver, while ONE Fight Night 23 goes down on July 5, with both events airing in US primetime.
