ONE strawweight MMA contender Lito Adiwang is a big believer that speed plays a crucial role in fighting. As such, 'Thunder Kid' thinks the speedy and agile Jarred Brooks will be victorious against his next opponent, Reece McLaren, who holds a size advantage over Brooks, at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs Rasulov on Prime Video.
On Dec. 6, live at U.S. Primetime, the interim strawweight MMA world champion will make his flyweight debut against 'Lightning' inside the fabled halls of Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
While McLaren is known for his incredible grappling and improved striking, Adiwang sees one big area where he'll struggle against 'The Monkey God.'

The Filipino firecracker spoke to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, where he said:
"From what I’ve observed with Reece, for example against Danny Kingad, he’s a bit slow. He couldn’t catch Danny during their fight. He has good technique but I think he’s just a bit slow."
Moreover, Adiwang, who lost to Brooks before, is quite familiar with how the American uses his speed and crushing strength to overwhelm his foes. He added:
"If he’s going to be that slow against Jarred, it’s going to be a problem for him. Jarred is alert and explosive on the ground. Jarred will catch him somehow."
ONE Fight Night 26 is available free for those with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription in the United States and Canada.
Lito Adiwang says Jarred Brooks' elite wrestling will trump Reece McLaren's sensational BJJ
While both Jarred Brooks and Reece McLaren can strike, all signs point to this match-up being determined on the ground.
In hindsight, it appears that the Australian veteran might have the advantage, with nine of his seventeen career wins coming by submission.
Then again, Adiwang believes it's unwise to count out Brooks' heavy top pressure and underrated jiu-jitsu. 'Thunder Kid' told Sportskeeda MMA:
"Jarred has a smother ground game and the main key is that he's quicker. That's where I see Jarred having the advantage - he's faster and he should have good power."
