Fabricio Andrade believes Kwon Won Il doesn't have the fortitude to face him in their looming world title showdown.
The reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion will defend his throne against his familiar foe at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena in Bangkok.
In an interview snippet he shared on Instagram, Andrade said he heard Kwon's usual banter despite what happened in their first fight in ONE Championship.
Andrade pointed out that Kwon continued to talk trash despite being knocked out in the opening round of their ONE 158 matchup in June 2022 in Singapore.

"I knocked him out in the first fight, he should be more respectful after what I did to him. So I think the fact that he’s talking a lot shows that he’s not that confident," said Fabricio Andrade.
Kwon and Andrade were the two rising stars in the bantamweight MMA division in 2022, and the Brazilian knockout machine believed he was poised for a world title shot after the match between then-ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Bibiano Fernandes and John Lineker.
While Andrade waited for his chance, Kwon decided to call him out leading to their showdown at ONE 158.
While the build was filled with pure animosity, Andrade ended the affair with a cracking roundhouse kick to the body that immediately folded Kwon in the first round.
Andrade ultimately captured the vacant ONE bantamweight MMA world title at ONE Fight Night 7 when he stopped Lineker in the fourth round of their Bangkok matchup.
Fabricio Andrade works with famed trainer John Hutchinson to develop his boxing
ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade already knocked Kwon Won Il out and plans to do it again at ONE 170.
After folding Kwon with a soul-snatching body kick, Andrade wants to use his boxing to send the South Korean star to the shadow realm in their world title matchup.
Andrade revealed on Instagram that he's been working with Tiger Muay Thai boxing head coach John Hutchinson in developing his already lethal arsenal:
"He’s been a part of my camp to keep me working on my hands and gain more power. I hopefully gain more power with my hands. It’s something that I don’t have, a [one-shot] knockout with my hands, so that’s something that I want to do in my career," said Andrade.
