“He's on a crazy trajectory” - Nico Carrillo all praise for ‘worthy challenger’ Nabil Anane ahead of ONE 170

Second-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai contender and interim world title challenger 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo of Scotland may have gone through major changes to his next fight. But the 26-year-old Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy product says it hasn't become any easier.

Originally scheduled to face two-division, two-sport ONE world champion 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9, Carrillo is now ready to take on 6-foot-4-inch phenom and No.5-ranked contender Nabil Anane for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title.

This fight got put together after Superlek had to pull out of the bout with Carrillo just a couple of weeks ago due to injury the Thai star suffered in training.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Carrillo talked about his upcoming opponent Anane, and had some high praise for the Thai-Algerian rising star.

'King of the North' said:

"He's definitely a worthy challenger. He's on a crazy trajectory right now, beating everyone put in front of him in ONE Championship. But I'm going to knock him out."

Needless to say, the two bantamweight bangers are ready to put on a show in the Thai capital this weekend, and fans simply should not miss this showdown.
