ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek doesn't think Kongthoranee is an easy opponent heading into their ONE Friday Fights 68 matchup.

Over the last five years, 'The Kicking Machine' has fought and defeated many world-class strikers under the ONE Championship banner. Later this week, June 28, Superlek looks to add another high-level name to his legendary resume when he takes on Konthoranee at ONE Friday Fights 68.

Konthoranee may not be Rodtang or Takeru Segawa (Superlek's last two opponents), but he holds an impressive 8-1 record. During an interview with Sportskeeda, the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion had this to say about not overlooking his upcoming challenge:

"I feel Kongthoranee, in terms of Muay Thai, he's like not an A or B athlete. He's very good. He's not an easy opponent, of course."

Superlek's last two wins against Rodtang (Muay Thai) and Takeru Segawa (kickboxing) have separated him from other world champions. He now looks to continue building momentum with a highlight-reel finish at ONE Friday Fights 68.

ONE Friday Fights 68 features several action-packed matchups, including Prajanchai vs Jonathan Di Bella (vacant strawweight kickboxing world title) in the main event and Superlek vs Kongthoranee in the co-main event. North American viewers can watch Friday's spectacle via pay-per-view.

Superlek looks to absorb minimal damage to maintain bantamweight Muay Thai title shot at ONE 168

Superlek has more pressure than usual for his non-title flyweight Muay Thai matchup against Kongthoranee. On September 6, 'The Kicking Machine' is scheduled to challenge Jonathan Haggerty for the latter's ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title in the ONE 168: Denver co-main event.

Therefore, the Thai megastar must avoid any significant injuries against Kongthoranee. If the 28-year-old can't emerge injury-free, his opportunity to become a two-sport world champion could be in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Haggerty won't be fighting until ONE 168.

ONE 168 represents the promotion's highly-anticipated return to North America. Tickets for the event inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado can be found here.
