“He’s too f***ing fast” - Demetrious Johnson says he would never fight Ryan Garcia

MMA legend and reigning ONE flyweight MMA world champion 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson of the United States has recently expressed interest in competing in professional boxing matches, given the right opponent.

In fact, the 37-year-old Washington state native said he is willing to step into the ring with legendary eight-division boxing world champion 'Pacman' Manny Pacquiao under the right circumstances.

But there's one guy Johnson would never fight.

In a recent guest appearance on the JAXXON Podcast, the ONE Championship megastar said he would never get in the ring with Ryan Garcia.

'Mighty Mouse' said:

"I wouldn’t fight him. He’s too f***ing fast."

Ryan Garcia is an American professional boxer who has competed across the super featherweight, lightweight, and light welterweight divisions. He is a 15-time national amateur champion, known for his uncanny speed and power.

Most recently, Garcia knocked out previously unbeaten Devin Haney last April at the Barclays Center in New York City. However, after the fight, Garcia fell into controversy when a banned substance was detected in his drug testing sample.

The result against Haney was overturned into a No Contest. But fans believe Garcia is innocent and that his victory over Haney is legit.

'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson reigns over the flyweight MMA division in ONE Championship with an iron fist. He's blown by all the competition, and really has nothing left to prove in the sport.

Many believe Johnson is getting ready to ride off into the sunset and calling it a day, although 'Mighty Mouse' has expressed interest in continuing with his MMA career.

These days, Johnson is focused on furthering his burgeoning jiu-jitsu career, having recently been awarded his black belt.

'Mighty Mouse' has also left the door open to competing jiu-jitsu in ONE Championship against some of the best in the world in the sport.
