Nabil Anane was candid about his "only advantages" against Petchtanong Petchfergus.
On Friday, Dec. 6, Anane will make his promotional kickboxing debut at ONE Fight Night 26. The 6'4" bantamweight has signed on for a tough challenger, as he's scheduled to face former ONE bantamweight kickboxing king and WBC Muay Thai world champion Petchtanong.
Anane recently appeared in an interview with The Bangkok Post to talk about his upcoming matchup. The 20-year-old had this to say about the two advantages he has against the 39-year-old Petchtanong:
"The only advantages I have are my younger age and my height – apart from that, he’s the favorite."

Petchtanong shockingly lost his ONE Championship debut due to a six-second knockout against Capitan Petchyindee in September 2020. The Thai superstar has since bounced back with three consecutive wins against Zhang Chenglong, Hiroki Akimoto, and Alaverdi Ramazanov.
Petchtanong is the No. 3-ranked bantamweight kickboxing contender behind Ilias Ennahachi and Wei Rui.
Both top-ranked strikers could be fighting Jonathan Haggerty for the world title soon, with Petchtanong not far behind.
ONE Fight Night 26 will be held inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. North American and Canadian viewers can watch Friday's event live and for free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Nabil Anane is on track for two-sport supremacy with win at ONE Fight Night 26
Nabil Anane's ONE Championship debut didn't go as planned due to a first-round knockout loss against Superlek Kiatmoo9 in Muay Thai. The Algerian-Thai superstar has grown tremendously since fighting now-two-sport world champion Superlek.
Anane has rattled off five consecutive Muay Thai wins, including several against top bantamweight contenders. The 20-year-old could be closing in on a title shot in "The Art of Eight Limbs" if he can continue building momentum in the division.
At ONE Fight Night 26, Anane has an opportunity to showcase his striking versatility in kickboxing. With a win against Petchtanong, the 6'4" bantamweight would quickly become a top contender in the division.
Anane has a long way to go before becoming a world champion. With that said, he's on track to claim the legendary two-sport supremacy status.
