"He’s got a death sentence now" - Fans react to Jake Paul calling out Alex Pereira after knocking out Mike Perry

Fans recently expressed their thoughts on Jake Paul calling out the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira following his knockout victory against Mike Perry. Paul's callout sparked criticism from the combat sports community.

The ten-round boxing match between Paul and Perry just concluded. The event, dubbed 'Fear No Man', took place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, this past Saturday. The bout was arranged following the postponement of Paul's fight with Mike Tyson to Nov. 15 owing to the latter's health concern.

During the fight, Paul used his physical advantage to unleash strong blows at the 32-year-old opponent. He scored a knockdown in the first round and another in the second.

Paul nearly ended the bout multiple times and ultimately, in the sixth round, he caught Perry with a combination that sent the current BKFC star sprawling to the ground, suffering his first knockout loss in almost five years.

Following the win, Paul spoke to Ariel Helwani inside the ring and called out Pereira, saying:

''Alex Pereira, you say you want to box. I’m the king of this. Come over. We can make it happen. I want you, Alex Pereira. … I just beat a BKFC champion. I’ve beat multiple UFC champions. He said he wants to box. So Alex Pereira, after Mike Tyson, let’s make it happen.”
