Adriano Moraes is out to ensure that it's repeat instead of revenge when he returns to action at ONE 169.

Given his longevity at the top of the flyweight MMA division, it's no surprise that the Brazilian has plenty of experience in rematches. On Nov. 8 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, he will run it back with Danny Kingad in a huge fight for the rankings.

Moraes defeated 'The King' six years ago when he submitted him in the first round to record a statement win at the time, breaking the streak of his opponent. However, a lot has changed for both men since that point, and Kingad has recently gone through a major change in his career.

The Filipino contender left his former home of Team Lakay to set up a new team of elite martial artists, Lions Den MMA.

In a recent interview with Combate, Adriano Moraes gave his thoughts on this switch and whether it will affect their upcoming contest:

"Danny Kingad, I know he left Team Lakay. I know he left Team Lakay and then went to Eduard Folayang's team and they opened Lions Nation MMA. They have a new team there too, and I believe he's got a good team around him."

Adriano Moraes has gained invaluable experience

When looking at the recent form of Adriano Moraes, he may have suffered back-to-back defeats but that doesn't tell the full story of the fights.

In his last two outings, 'Mikinho' squared off with arguably the greatest of all time, Demetrious Johnson.

There's certainly no shame in losing to a legend like 'Mighty Mouse' and Moraes is sure to come away from both fights as an even better competitor.

Kingad is also an experienced opponent but we will see what adjustments Moraes has been able to make from his elite level bouts with Johnson.
