Stephen Loman will face the toughest test of his career to date against former bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes on November 18.
While that statement is true, it will be far from a walk in the park for ‘The Flash’, who is looking to bounce back from a devastating knockout against John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker in February.
Loman carries with him an arsenal of weapons that are more than capable of setting Fernandes on the first losing streak of his ONE Championship career. In an interview with ONE, Bibiano Fernandes discussed the dangers of facing a well-rounded opponent like Stephen Loman:
“Stephen Loman is a great athlete. He’s in great physical shape, he’s a fighter who hits and moves all the time. He kicks a lot, throws overhands with his left hand, and moves a lot in the cage. He’s an excellent fighter.”

Loman holds 16 career victories, including an undefeated run inside the circle thus far, which featured a spectacular first-round knockout over Yusup Saadulaev in his promotional debut. He followed that up with a unanimous decision win over Shoko Sato at the promotion’s 10th-anniversary showcase, ONE X.
‘The Flash’ will attempt to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time in his ONE Championship career, which features notable wins over Reece McLaren, Martin Nguyen, and Kevin Belingon on three separate occasions.
Stephen Loman believes his strength will surprise Bibiano Fernandes
Walking into his ONE on Prime Video 4 showdown with Bibiano Fernandes, Stephen Loman plans on being in the best shape of his life.
As the No.5-ranked bantamweight contender, a win over the former world champion would likely boost him into the conversation for a title opportunity, something Loman has no intention of missing out on. He told ONE:
“No one should ever doubt my conditioning. We train very hard in the mountains. I think he will be surprised with how strong I am. He can try to control me on the ground, but he will have a hard time.”
One thing you can count on is Stephen Loman coming into the November 18 clash with a strong focus on defeating ‘The Flash’ and banking on the biggest win of his career:
“I am focused on nothing but Bibiano Fernandes right now. I believe this will be the toughest test of my career. I’ve had a good training camp, and I’m ready.”
