Renowned MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz recently slammed Conor McGregor, who had some choice words for Dagestani fighters. This comes off the back of McGregor's former foe, Khabib Nurmagomedov's comments comparing fighters from his region and those from Ireland.
Nurmagomedov and McGregor shared one of the most heated rivalries in UFC history, featuring a dark build-up and the infamous post-fight brawl at UFC 229.
Now, Khabib’s cousin, Usman Nurmagomedov, is set to take on Irish fighter Paul Hughes at the Bellator Champions Series: Road to Dubai. PFL is promoting this matchup as a sequel to the well-known Nurmagomedov-McGregor rivalry. During an interview with PFL, the UFC Hall of Famer and former pound-for-pound No.1 shared his thoughts, claiming that the Irish fighters are not on the same level as Dagestani fighters.
McGregor then clapped back in a now-deleted post, with harsh words seemingly directed at 'The Eagle' and his Dagestani brethren. Abdelaziz quickly fired back at 'The Notorious,' claiming that Nurmagomedov continues to live rent-free in the Irish superstar's mind:

When Khabib Nurmagomedov addressed Conor McGregor’s criticism regarding the Russian flag
In 2019, Conor McGregor questioned Khabib Nurmagomedov's patriotism, pointing out that ‘The Eagle’ never made his walkouts with the Russian flag.
During UFC Moscow (UFC Fight Night: Magomedsharipov vs. Kattar) fight week, the undefeated fighter was asked why he doesn’t carry his country’s flag. In response, Nurmagomedov, likely addressing McGregor, slammed the notion and stated:
"Good question. I was expecting it. People who wear flags say that they represent their native land. But, unlike them, I don't rape women, don't beat old people, don't tell people to drink alcohol."
He added:
"I represent in my own way. I don't believe that if you wear a flag you're a patriot, and if you don't then you're not. There are many things that you must do before you raise that flag. It's not enough to just raise it. You have to show good character."
