The young phenoms will square off in a flyweight Muay Thai matchup at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24, 2025, in a match Ghazali expects to blow the roof off Impact Arena.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the Malaysian-American sensation said he and his fellow Johan are fully capable of stealing the show in their pivotal showdown in Bangkok.

Johan Ghazali said:

"It's gonna be a crazy fight. I'm gonna be fighting Johan Estupinan. We're both young, we're both up-and-coming. He's a hype train like me."

Ghazali and Estupinan have rapidly climbed up the ranks, with a violent blend of terrifying power and blinding speed.

Estupinan holds a perfect 26-0 professional record and is 4-0 in his ONE Championship run.

The 22-year-old speedster also holds three highlight-reel knockouts against Kouta Omori, Sean Climaco, and Zakaria El Jamari.

Ghazali, meanwhile, has 25 wins in his professional career and is an impressive 6-1 in his ONE Championship tenure.

'Jojo', who's four years younger than Estupinan, racked up five knockout wins at the expense of Padetsuk Fairtex, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Temirlan Bekmurzaev, Edgar Tabares, and Josue Cruz.

Although Ghazali and Estupinan have yet to break into the top five of the flyweight Muay Thai rankings, a win at ONE 170 could give either of them a sufficient case for inclusion in the upper tier of the division.

Johan Ghazali says Johan Estupinan's crazy style leaves multiple openings

Johan Ghazali believes he has Johan Estupinan all figured out heading into their collision at ONE 170.

In an interview with Anything Combat, Ghazali said Estupinan's strength derives from his wild and brawling style.

Estupinan's approach, however, also leaves him vulnerable on the counter since his wide stance opens up multiple opportunities for his opponents to work behind their counters.

"He's a crazy fighter. But the downside of being that crazy is you leave yourself open to a lot of shots," said Ghazali.
