Christian Lee has been impressed with Kade Ruotolo's quick evolution. Making his promotional debut in May 2022, Ruotolo quickly made a name for himself by becoming the first-ever ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion.
Along the way, he earned a series of noteworthy wins against Shinya Aoki, Tommy Langaker, and Francisco Lo. Ready for a new challenger, Ruotolo strapped on a pair of four-ounce gloves for his big MMA debut at ONE 167 in June.
There, the Atos Jiu-Jitsu star scored an impressive first-round submission victory over Blake Cooper. He delivered a repeat performance five months later, forcing Ahmed Mujtaba to tap out in 64 seconds at ONE 169.

Commenting on Ruotolo's first two mixed martial arts outings, two-division ONE world titleholder Christian Lee had nothing but positive things to say on The Brian Campbell Experience.
"You see him dropping his opponent and then submitting him," Lee said. It shows that he's training hard and he's improving quickly."

After more than two years on the shelf, Christian Lee will make his long-awaited return to action on Friday, Dec. 6.
Putting his ONE lightweight MMA world championship on the line, 'The Warrior' will square off with Dagestani-born star Alibeg Rasulov in the ONE Fight Night 26 headliner on Amazon Prime Video.
It will be Lee's first time competing since scoring an insane come-from-behind KO against Kiamrian Abbasov to claim the ONE welterweight MMA world title in Nov. 2022.
Meanwhile, Rasulov earned his spot at the front of the lightweight line with a dominant showing against former ONE world champion Ok Rae Yoon at ONE Fight Night 23 in July.
