Carl Froch has weighed in on Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury.
'The Predator' and 'The Gypsy King' are slated to clash on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia. The boxing match will be the first of Ngannou's combat sports career, and the odds reflect that. Heading into this weekend, the former UFC champion is expected to be a massive underdog.
To help bridge the gap between himself and the WBC heavyweight champion, the MMA fighter has brought in Mike Tyson. 'Iron Mike' is a longtime friend of Ngannou, but has no real coaching experience. Still, the legend couldn't just sit by whenever his help was requested.

Although, Carl Froch doesn't believe it'll make much of an interest. In a recent interview, 'The Cobra' was asked about Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury. There, he opined that Mike Tyson has a better chance at defeating 'The Gypsy King' than his trainee does.
Speaking to Best Gambling Sites, the former super middleweight champion said:
"Bringing Mike Tyson in has brought more interest to it, it's like he's glamorised the event. Wherever he goes he's like a god. He's a f******* mad, brilliant fighter and the ultimate fighting machine. There's an argument to say Mike Tyson would give Tyson Fury a better fight than Francis Ngannou. He's got all of that experience, he's an old man, but he'd give Tyson Fury more of a fight for two or three rounds than Francis Ngannou is going to manage."
Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury: Mike Tyson makes prediction
Mike Tyson isn't aligned with Carl Froch on Francis Ngannou vs. Mike Tyson.
Obviously, 'Iron Mike' has to roll with his fighter whenever he's asked about his thoughts on the bout. Still, Tyson has helped Ngannou along his boxing journey, and this training camp isn't the first time he's trained with him.
Nonetheless, the boxing legend has explained at length why he accepted the coaching opportunity. For one, 'The Predator' requested his help years ago, for a fight with Fury. Two, he genuinely believes his friend can defeat 'The Gypsy King'.
Earlier this month, Mike Tyson was asked for his prediction on Ngannou vs. Fury. Speaking to Mail Online, the coach opined:
“I am helping Ngannou. I am learning what he is able to do. He's able to do so much more than I anticipated. He has what it takes to knockout anything or anybody standing in his way. Once he lands a punch on Tyson Fury's jaw he is going to knock him out too. Nobody can survive that.”
