Liam Harrison has waited a long time to finally step back inside the ring. Now, he's counting down the days for that moment.
'Hitman' may have had to show incredible determination to get himself back in fighting shape but he is looking to reap the rewards. He suffered a devastating knee injury the last time that he stepped inside the circle back in August 2022 when he challenged Nong-O for the bantamweight Muay Thai title.
Now, after nearly two years away, he is set to return at ONE 167 to take on Katsuki Kitano in a comeback fight. However, while he isn't looking past Kitano for a single moment, the fight that really has Liam Harrison excited to be back doing what he loves is the matchup that he is booked for at ONE Championship's on-ground return to the United States.
At ONE 168: Denver, it will be a clash of battle-hardened gunslingers as Harrison goes head-to-head with Seksan for the first time in bantamweight Muay Thai action.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, he spoke about his excitement to take on a fighter that has a legendary reputation for never backing down:
"He's tough as nails innit? So I'm sure he gets off on it when he starts punching me face. He loves it. So yeah, even if you wobble him, he always comes back stronger, which is why I'm excited to fight him. Obviously, he's a legend. He's one of my heroes."

Liam Harrison doesn't need any additional motivation
Of course, returning to competition is the only motivation that Liam Harrison needs when he takes on Katsuki Kitano after being away for so long. His clash with Seksan at the Ball Arena on September 6 is another kind of excitement though.
Harrison has become a fan favorite for his all-action style and willingness to jump head-first into the fire when others would need to take a step back. Well, the Brit may have met his ideal match when he comes up against 'The Man That Yields To No One'.
ONE 167 will air live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 7. North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire card live and for free in U.S. primetime.
