Chingiz Allazov is one of the most highly-regarded athletes in the sport of kickboxing, not only by fans but also by his peers.
One fellow striker that knows Allazov well is Ekaterina Vandaryeva, who is Belarusian, like Allazov. Vandaryeva will also share the spotlight on that night with Chingiz Allazov competing in the final fight of the evening at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
Speaking to ONE Championship, Ekaterina offered her support for her countryman and high praise for his ability:
“I hope Chingiz wins. He’s a rare man in our sport. As a rule, people who come to combat sports and succeed there are those with hard stories of hard and poor childhoods. They overcome obstacles, trying to escape from this environment to seek a better life. Chingiz is from a well-off family, but he is also very gifted. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard in the gym. He is a phenomenon."

Discussing the lengths that Chingiz Allazov goes to perfect his game, Vandaryeva had this to say:
“He sacrifices a lot. He puts in a lot of work. He doesn’t see his family sometimes for a long time. He deserves to win."
Despite her admiration for Allazov, Ekaterina admitted that everything has to be perfect for him to succeed against a talented world champion like Superbon. Here’s what she had to say about the match up:
“His opponent is not an easy one. Superbon has a unique style. It certainly will be a spectacular and exciting fight. I don’t know if Allazov has any weaknesses. I think if he has the right mindset, he will do the right thing in the circle.”
Chingiz Allazov and Superbon will fight in the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Chingiz Allazov reveals fighting quality he believes many Thai fighters lack
The pressure will be on when Chingiz Allazov and Superbon meet in the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Friday.
For Allazov, he feels that he channels the pressure into undivided focus. However, he’s not so sure his Thai opponent will react the same.
Speaking to ONE Championship, the Belarusian revealed a weakness he believes many Thai fighters share in competition:
"As I said before, I like the Thai style. I spoke to Sitthichai, another fighter from Thailand. They have power but they don't have concentration, unlike me."
Whatever approach Chingiz Allazov and Superbon have to fighting, it’s worked for them so far- they’re combined 6-1 in the ONE circle, with Superbon undefeated so far.
The fight will air on Amazon Prime for North American subscribers on Friday night in the US, which is Saturday morning, the 14, in Asia.
