ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo gave a rousing update about when his twin brother and reigning ONE welterweight submission grappling king Tye Ruotolo will be back in action following a knee injury.
Kade Ruotolo revealed during the post-event press conference of ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' this past Friday, Nov. 8, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand:
"The guy has, like, however, many torn ligaments in his knee, and he's still trying to box me before. I'm like, relax. Tye, he's ready tomorrow. We just gotta make sure his body's physically ready. So I'm kind of in the same boat."
He continued:

"We're going to spend the rest of this year just recovering, fixing our bodies up, because [we're] starting to get run down a little bit. So we'll try to fix up our bodies and next year, both my brother and I believe we're gonna make some really big statements in MMA."
Tye Ruotolo worked his twin's corner for his MMA bout at ONE 169, where Kade submitted Ahmed Mujtaba via D'Arce choke barely a minute into the first round.

Kade Ruotolo shared why now was the right time to pursue his dreams of becoming an MMA megastar alongside his responsibilities as the ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion.
In an interview with MMA Junkie ahead of ONE 169, the 21-year-old said:
"In order to be one of the best martial artists of all time, you got to do it all right, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, MMA, striking, boxing... all these different martial arts, you know?"
