ONE featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix champion and No.1 contender Chingiz Allazov will finally get his world title shot at ONE Fight Night on Prime Video 6. His bout with titleholder Superbon Singha Mawynn is one of the most anticipated fights of the year, having been canceled and moved in the past.
In his last appearance inside the circle, Chingiz Allazov won a World Grand Prix belt against Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong at ONE X. On the same night, Superbon defended his world title against Marat Grigorian.
Speaking to ONE Championship, Allazov made a bold statement by comparing his last opponent to the world champ:

"I said before that Sitthichai may be better than Superbon. He’s really tough. I threw punches at him many times and he won't go down. But he really goes forward all the time. He likes to fight with me. He moves in the first and second rounds and after the coach said, go, don't stop, only KO will win you this fight. Then he goes forward. I see that he's very powerful. But maybe if Superbon will go forward he will have problems."
If there's anyone who can make a substantial comparison between Sitthichai and Superbon, perhaps it's Allazov. His extensive knowledge of the sport, experience fighting Sitthichai, and stern observation of Superbon's game can justify this.
Superbon believes Chingiz Allazov's only advantage over him is his size
ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn recently spoke to ONE Championship to provide his thoughts on his January 13 opponent, Chingiz Allazov. The Thai world champion is oozing with confidence, even pointing out that Allazov's only advantage won't be able to help him get the victory.
Superbon told ONE:
“Let me mention my one and only disadvantage to Chingiz - his build. He’s bigger than me. That’s it. Therefore, all the rest are my advantages.”
Though we have no doubt that Superbon believes he's a few steps ahead of Allazov in every area, we must point out that size can matter when used correctly. Superbon is undeniably one of the most technical, precise and calculated strikers ever. If what he says about Allazov is correct, then the Belarusian slugger may just use his size advantage to nullify Superbon's technical prowess.
