Jonathan Haggerty talked about his younger brother, Freddie Haggerty, being "more of a scrapper" than him.
At 27 years old, Haggerty's legacy has been solidified as a former two-sport world champion who now holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title. Meanwhile, the UK superstar's younger brother, Freddie, has recently started his journey to etching his name into promotional history.
Freddie Haggerty made his ONE Championship debut in January, defeating Dankalong by second-round knockout. The 20-year-old has since secured two more wins inside the distance against Kaichon and Kaoklai.
Jonathan Haggerty recently did an interview on the 'Winners Talking Podcast.' The reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion had this to say about his younger brother:

"He’s a different fighter to me. He’s more of a scrapper. You might think I'm a scrapper but he loves like getting stuck in a scrap."
Freddie Haggerty's latest fight took place at ONE Friday Fights 81, which went down on December 13. The strawweight striker continued his reign of terror with another knockout, this time against Kaoklai Chor Hapayak.

Jonathan Haggerty looks to continue setting example for Freddie Haggerty
Freddie Haggerty has learned what it takes to become a world champion by watching his older brother, Jonathan Haggerty. The latter now looks to continue building his legacy with his first bantamweight kickboxing title defense.
Haggerty became the bantamweight kickboxing king with a second-round knockout against bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade. Since then, 'The General' suffered a setback due to a 49-second Muay Thai loss against Superlek earlier this year.
On February 20, 2025, Haggerty looks to get back on track in a kickboxing bout against Wei Rui. The Chinese striker made his promotional debut earlier this year, defeating former world champion Hiroki Akimoto by unanimous decision in a bout that ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong thought Akimoto won.
Haggerty plans to defend his kickboxing strap against Wei before attempting to reclimb the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai division.
