ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai has successfully fended off the challenge of Superbon for the second time and squashed all the doubts with a more convincing victory in their rematch at ONE 170 last Friday evening inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tawanchai scored a second-round TKO victory over the reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing king. During the post-fight press conference, the Thai phenom revealed the secret to his triumph by stating:
"I knew that he tried to rely on using a counterattack. He tried to counter back after I kicked or struck him. I think that was my advantage."

This marked Tawanchai's fourth successive title defense since becoming the unquestioned king of the weight class in September 2022.
Additionally, he extended his current win streak to nine and improved his ONE Championship record to 10 wins and one loss.
Previously, the defending king only scored a close majority decision win over Superbon in their first meeting in December 2022 at ONE Friday Fights 46. Still, this win has proved that he was a better fighter than his fellow Thai superstar.
Tawanchai credits his team for helping him try something new against Superbon at ONE 170
The PK Saenchai Muaythaigym athlete gave his team a big shoutout during his in-ring interview with Mitch Chilson for giving him the green light to try something new against the 34-year-old veteran.
According to the 25-year-old phenom, he needed a new approach to catch Superbon off-guard and lure him into his trap, which all came to fruition during the bout, as he stated:
"This time, I wanted to try something new, because I know that Superbon has great IQ. He can adapt to any situation. So big thanks to my team, my coach, and my trainer that I made it today, and I'm successful."
