UFC star Alex Pereira knows two things: knocking fighters out and winning fans' hearts. The latter is reminded to fans over and over again through the Brazilian's social media antics. Recently. 'Poatan' mimicked Raul Rosas Jr.'s catchphrase, cracking the viewers up.
The UFC light heavyweight champion often posts his training footage and snippets of his daily life on his YouTube page. He shared the same ahead of his main-event bout at UFC 307 in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Oct. 7.
In one of the segments, the 35-year-old signaled to be whispering something to a friend, when he uttered the phrase used by rising bantamweight sensation 'El Nino Problema' in his post-fight interviews.

Raul Rosas Jr. defeated Aoriqileng at UFC 306 (aka Noche UFC 306) via unanimous decision to further his movement in the bantamweight division.
Meanwhile, Alex Pereira is set to square off against Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307. 'Poatan' would be looking for a third straight title defense after conquering the 205-pound division in November 2023.
Chael Sonnen on when Alex Pereira can be considered a GOAT
Chael Sonnen is never short on hot takes, which have frequently come back to bite him. 'The American Gangster' recently praised Pereira's accomplishments in MMA in such a short time.
Furthermore, the Oregon native stated that if Poatan wins his third title before retiring, the GOAT debate is decidedly over, whether we like it or not.
Here's what Sonnen said on The Ariel Helwani Show:
"I feel like if he wins it at heavyweight, even if he's an interim, you know, he's just trying to fight [Tom] Aspinall at 300 [pounds] for example, if it's an interim or the undisputed. I feel like if he wins a belt at heavyweight and goes, Champ, champ, champ [three division champion] the discussion is over whether we like it or not. We no longer talk about who's the GOAT, We just we refer to Alex... And it is an amazing thing what he did, 36 years old."
