Brazilian knockout artist John Lineker may be a ferocious competitor inside the circle, but that does not mean he counts out his opponents. He holds his next foe, Muay Thai star Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, in high regard.
Ahead of their bantamweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 27 on Friday, Jan. 10, 'Hands of Stone' gave Kulabdam his flowers in an interview with ONE. Lineker said:
"His strong point is Muay Thai. He uses the weapons he has very well, and I believe that this gives him an advantage, because he has been doing this his whole life. So I believe that this is his strong point."

Kulabdam, a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, has starred in high-profile fights throughout his 13-fight ONE tenure. In his eight victories, the aptly nicknamed 'Left Meteorite' earned five knockout finishes thanks to his monstrous left hand.
On the other hand, Lineker, the former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion, capped off his 2024 by knocking out Asa Ten Pow and Alexey Balyko in September and October, respectively, to jumpstart his Muay Thai journey.
John Lineker hoping to silence doubters with win over Kulabdam
Aside from notching his third straight victory in 'The Art of Eight Limbs', John Lineker believes that a win over Kulabdam inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will silence those who criticized him for jumping into Muay Thai.
The American Top Team product told ONE in a separate interview:
"I believe that if I win this fight, the fans will see that I was made to fight, regardless of the sport. I know that I can adapt to any place, but this will undoubtedly be the biggest test. I want and hope to have a great fight!"
