Bibiano Fernandes is used to quickly dominating his opponents inside the Circle, but Stephen Loman said that the former bantamweight king won’t be doing any of that during their match.
Loman will have a crack at Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4 this November 18 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The No.5-ranked bantamweight contender has been on an impressive start to his ONE Championship career, going 2-0 in his first two matches. His fight against Fernandes, however, will be his true litmus test in the promotion.

Fernandes is a former ONE bantamweight world champion with two lengthy reigns atop his division. Nevertheless, Loman is ready for the biggest fight of his career. In an interview with ONE Championship, he said:
“No one should ever doubt my conditioning. We train very hard in the mountains. I think he will be surprised with how strong I am. He can try to control me on the ground, but he will have a hard time.”
Loman is part of the famed Team Lakay stable that produced five world champions in ONE Championship, including the reigning ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio.
‘The Sniper’ could also get himself into world title contention if he secures a win over Fernandes this month. Beating Fernandes, however, is a tough task. The Brazilian legend is a punishing grappler who grinds his opponent down any chance he gets.
Of Fernandes’ five finishes in ONE Championship, four came via submission.
Stephen Loman is hellbent on beating Bibiano Fernades
Stephen Loman knows that getting a win over Fernandes could fast-track his way to the ONE bantamweight world title, and he’ll stop at nothing until he gets a hold of that 26.4-pound golden strap.
Talking to ONE Championship, Loman said he’s focused on Fernandes alone and he’ll only look at other matches once he beats the former world champion.
Loman added that he’s been grinding away at camp to fully prepare for the pivotal match:
“I am focused on nothing but Bibiano Fernandes right now. I believe this will be the toughest test of my career. I’ve had a good training camp, and I’m ready.”
