MMA fans recently voiced their thoughts after witnessing the X-rays of Ciryl Gane's injured foot from his UFC 310 encounter against Alexander Volkov. The X-rays showcased that Gane had fractured three bones in his foot during the encounter.
The Gane vs. Volkov encounter started pretty evenly with both fighters landing strikes and shooting for takedowns. Gane went for a few head kicks in the initial minutes of the fight while Volkov landed several leg kicks on his rival. However, the French heavyweight looked like a compromised version of himself from the second round.
Gane's speed of movement despite being a heavyweight is one of his biggest strengths. However, he lacked that speed in his UFC 310 fight. He finally managed to get his hand raised at the end of the three-round encounter. Gane himself wasn't happy even after his victory, while scores of UFC fans criticized the judge's decision to rule the fight in Gane's favor.
'Bon Gamin' recently revealed the reason behind his compromised movements during his octagon interview with Joe Rogan. He mentioned that he had injured his foot in the very first round of the fight. A recent X update from @SpinninBackfist highlighted Gane's Instagram update showcasing the X-rays of his injured foot.

Ciryl Gane expressed frustration even after winning against Alexander Volkov
Ciryl Gane may have attempted several takedowns during his UFC 310 encounter against Alexander Volkov. However, he trusts his striking a lot more to get the better of his rivals. Injuring his foot in the initial seconds of the fight compromised Gane's movements a lot.
The Frenchman disclosed his injury during his octagon interview with Joe Rogan. But the post-event press conference had him expressing his frustration. Gane mentioned that he could've done a lot more in the fight, but his injured foot restricted his arsenal terribly. He said:
"I was frustrated with my fight because of [my injury]. I was frustrated because I started my training in July for this fight. And to start your fight like this, the first second you land [and your toe gets injured]... I tried to push on my toes [but I couldn't]. So this changed a lot of my mindset. I was frustrated about that."
