Henry Cejudo has humorously laid claim to the 'Fart of the Year 2024' title, playfully competing with Islam Makhachev for the honor. In a video shared online, Cejudo recounts a moment when he and Makhachev were together at the UFC Performance Insitute.
As Cejudo talks about the experience, he refers to a mysterious sound that occurred during the conversation, which he believes might have been a fart. After replaying the moment, Cejudo admits to the sound being his and humorously suggests that his "release" was worthy of the title.

In the video, Cejudo also highlighted a comment from his conversation with Khabib Nurmagomedov asking him to eat healthy and prepare for competition. The former UFC lightweight champion claimed that he believes the only significant fight left for UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja is against former two-division champ Cejudo.
Pantoja has already defended his title three times and defeated most of the top flyweights, leaving limited options for fresh challenges. Nurmagomedov suggests that a fight between Cejudo and Pantoja would be a major attraction for the flyweight division.
Henry Cejudo claims Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuira could be a bigger fight than Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall
Henry Cejudo believes that a potential fight between UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria and lightweight king Islam Makhachev could be bigger than a heavyweight title-unification bout between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.
Cejudo argues that while the heavyweight clash would determine the undisputed champion, a competitive matchup like Makhachev vs. Topuria offers more excitement. If Topuria wins, he would join the elite ranks of two-division champions, having already defeated long-reigning featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski.
Speaking about the fight on the Pound 4 Pound with Kamaru Usman & Henry Cejudo Podcast, the 37-year-old said:
“I personally believe that [Makhachev vs. Topuria] could potentially be bigger than Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall. Competitively, of course, man. It’s the simple fact that Ilia Topuria has a chance to become champ-champ. The heavyweight division, we’ll just know who’s the real undisputed champion. But in this position, if Ilia does win, that puts him in a category of, f*ck, you beat the former pound-for-pound [best] in Volkanovski, you’re beating the current pound-for-pound in a guy like Islam Makhachev. Give him his flowers.”
