While Henry Cejudo did credit 'Chito' for being durable and strong-willed, the former double champ backed Sandhagen, saying:
"If you can't outwrestle Cory Sandhagen, you're in trouble. For 'Chito' Vera, I just think he's a journeyman. They've only reached a certain point, they can only take it to a certain point.
"That being said, if I have to bet my money... I have Cory Sandhagen by either stoppage or unanimous decision."

'Sandman' is the No.5-ranked bantamweight and was able to get back in the win column after beating Song Yadong via TKO at UFC Vegas 60. He took 11 months off following back-to-back losses in 2021.
Marlon Vera occupies the No. 4 rank in the division and will put his four-fight win streak on the line as he hasn't lost since 2020. He last defeated former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz via knockout at UFC on ESPN 41.

Henry Cejudo believes that Dana White should bring "justice" to Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Vera
As the bantamweight matchup between Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Vera was announced by the UFC, it was revealed that the contest will be held at the UFC Apex Facility in Nevada on February 18.
While numerous events have taken place at the facility since 2019, many have probed whether its limited seating capacity as well as its smaller-sized octagon is suitable for a fight of this magnitude.
Speaking in the same aforementioned video, Henry Cejudo weighed in on the discussion and expressed his unhappiness at the bout not taking place in front of the fans. The former double champ stated:
"I don't like it... I think a fight like that belongs in a big stadium, belongs in a sold-out arena. The Apex is not doing justice to any of the fighters...
"For a fight like that, Dana White, UFC, bring justice to these guys. Bring justice because these guys deserve it. They belong to put on a show in front of thousands and thousands of people."
