Henry Cejudo will make his return to MMA against bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288, as per a recent announcement.
Cejudo is one of the most accomplished combat sports athletes of all time. 'Triple C' is a lifelong freestyle wrestler, and reached the pinnacle of the sport in 2008 when he won a gold medal at the Beijing Summer Olympics.
He transitioned into MMA five years later, going on to win UFC titles in the flyweight and bantamweight divisions.

Cejudo has tasted defeat in the octagon on two occasions. His defeats came in back-to-back fights against Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez.
Johnson, regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time, was able to secure a TKO victory over 'Triple C' after landing a series of vicious knees to the body at UFC 197. Benavidez defeated Cejudo in his next fight via split decision.
Following two defeats in a row, Henry Cejudo went on a tear, winning his next six fights. He avenged his loss to Johnson with a unanimous decision victory that saw him win the flyweight championship. He then TKO'd T.J. Dillashaw in the first round at UFC Fight Night 143 to successfully defend his title for the first time.
Following his victory over Dillashaw, Cejudo decided to move up a division to take on Marlon Moraes for the vacant bantamweight title. 'Triple C' secured his double-champ status with a third-round TKO finish.
Cejudo took on Dominick Cruz next, arguably the greatest bantamweight fighter of all time. 'Triple C' shocked the MMA world when he finished Cruz with seconds remaining in the second round, and cemented his name into the history books forever.
Henry Cejudo retired from MMA in May 2020. 'Triple C' will be returning to action later this year against Aljamain Sterling, and will enter the bout with a 16-2 record against the bantamweight champion.
Henry Cejudo believes that Bo Nickal is a long way off the middleweight top 10
Bo Nickal is arguably the hottest prospect in MMA right now.
At the age of 27, the former collegiate wrestler has the grappling credentials to rival anyone in the sport. He made his UFC debut on the main card of UFC 285 last weekend, despite only having a 3-0 record.
Nickal secured a first-round submission win over Jamie Pickett, but Henry Cejudo believes that the surging prospect still has plenty of work to do before he is ready for a top 10 opponent. 'Triple C' said this:
"If they don't build Bo Nickal, when they give him somebody tough, Nickal is going to struggle... You're gonna need about six fights like this before you start getting up to the top 10."
