Henry Cejudo has given his thoughts on whether Colby Covington is a worthy challenger for the welterweight title next over the likes of Belal Muhammad.

Following UFC 286, where Leon Edwards defended his belt against Kamaru Usman for the second time, a debate arose between MMA fans and fighters alike, regarding the next title contender. Edwards and Muhammad believe Colby Covington does not deserve the next title shot due to his inactivity. However, Henry Cejudo thinks otherwise:

"No, I think Colby's earned it through his fight game, through the fights that he's put out and through his mouth piece. And I think people need to recognize and realize that you gotta give credit where credit is due, and that's one thing Colby does better than the majority of the people. He is a good heel whether you hate him."

Henry Cejudo believes every fighter should take notes from Colby Covington because the fight game is not just about the skills you bring to the octagon. Fighters need to learn how to sell and market themselves, and 'Chaos' does a great job of this with his trash talk and his constant back and forth with other fighters in the organization.

Take a look at Cejudo's reaction to the UFC 286 main event:

Henry Cejudo reveals what problems Leon Edwards would face against Colby Covington

Henry Cejudo started a YouTube channel where he gives fight breakdowns and explains how fighters can improve their wrestling and overall game.

In his most recent video, Cejudo analyzed the UFC 286 main event between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman before going on to explain what problems Edwards would face if he fought Colby Covington:

"This dude is always chirping (points at Colby Covington) but he knows how to sell a damn fight. Like he's already out there, he's not even letting this guy (Leon Edwards) celebrate. But this man right here Leon, will make money."

He then showed a clip from 'Rocky's' fight against Nate Diaz and pointed out his flaws:

"And this is why I see a guy like Colby can be able to catch him, boom, hurts him, within a minute of the fight going into the fifth. In other words, Leon does get tired."

'Triple C' also went on to talk about how Leon Edwards will have to switch up his tactics now because there is a lot of tape to study him, especially since he is champion.
