Joe Rogan's recent takes on the Russia-Ukraine war has drawn criticism from a Russian chess grandmaster. Despite his nationality, chess icon Garry Kasparov bashed Rogan for his narratives about Ukraine.

The 57-year-old Rogan highlighted several points about the war in recent episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast.

In episode #2233 of JRE, Rogan criticized Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky due to his American government-backed decision to fire a long-range missile into Russia. He also mentioned that the combined steps of Zelensky and the American government could lead to World War III.

However, Kasparov criticized Rogan's take on Zelensky. One of the UFC commentator's recent X updates highlighted an episode where he refused the offer of having Zelensky on his podcast.

Kasparov had no issue with Rogan's rejection of Zelensky. However, he criticized Rogan for spreading "BS" about Ukraine and Zelensky since he didn't take the chance of knowing the situation better by having the Ukrainian president on his podcast. The caption to Kasparov's X post read:

"Rogan is under no obligation to host Zelensky, Klitschko, or anyone else. But after viciously attacking Ukraine with BS talking points, his agenda is clear if he doesn't allow for equal time. I'll also offer my services, if a chess champion isn't too threatening for him!"

Joe Rogan is a supporter of Donald Trump, who has vowed to end Russia-Ukraine war

Both Garry Kasparov and Joe Rogan are in favor of ending the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as possible. Kasparov may not like Rogan's opinion on the war, but the podcaster has also criticized the current Democrat US government for fueling Ukraine's hostile movements.

Additionally, Rogan has showcased his support for U.S. president-elect Donald Trump, who has mentioned multiple times that he would make efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as he takes office. In a July 2023 interview with Fox News, Trump stressed how he could end the Russia-Ukraine conflict within 24 hours.

"So, I know Zelensky very well... And, as you know, I get along very well with Putin. I would tell Putin, '[You] gotta settle'. I'm gonna tell Zelensky, '[You] gotta settle'. I'm gonna tell one [possibly Ukraine], 'You're gonna load up with money'. I would tell the other [possibly Russia], 'You'd not get any money'. I would get a settlement in 24 hours."
