ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 has a loaded schedule up ahead following his successful title defense against Takeru Segawa last January.

'The Kicking Machine' will return to action at ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28, where he'll face Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in a three-round flyweight Muay Thai battle at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Less than three months later, the Thai megastar will fly to the United States and move up a weight class to challenge Jonathan Haggerty for his bantamweight Muay Thai crown at ONE 168: Denver at Ball Arena on September 6.

While most pundits see Superlek's duel with Kongthoranee as a 'tune-up' match before the big one with 'The General', the former knows its extremely foolish to count any opponent out.

Surprisingly, Superlek even believes that his compatriot hits harder than the British two-sport king.

The Kiatmoo9 Gym star told the South China Morning Post in a recent interview:

"I think Kongthoranee is also a very good fighter. [He has a] different style if you compare it with Jonathan Haggerty. I think he's [ranked] lower but his power is superior. He's a technical Muay Thai fighter who can actually score a KO."

Superlek warns Jonathan Haggerty he's much better than before

Despite coming away with a TKO victory the last time he shared the ring with Jonathan Haggerty, the humble Superlek treats it as ancient history.

While acknowledging the double champion's remarkable improvements over the years, the Thai megastar said he also evolved into an even deadlier fighter ever since.

'The Kicking Machine' told Sportskeeda MMA in an earlier interview:

"I also believe that I have made huge improvements since the last time he fought me. I've been with ONE for a while, and I have grown comfortable with the style and the smaller gloves."

The historic ONE 168: Denver will air live in US Primetime free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
