"His suits are horrid" - Fans react to Chael Sonnen seemingly dissing Conor McGregor for recent legal troubles while roasting Irishman's suits

Conor McGregor continues to find himself at the center of legal issues. Now, three-time UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen has taken to X/Twitter to seemingly poke fun at the Irishman's predicaments, all while taking a swipe at his wardrobe. As expected, Sonnen's trash talk was quick to earn fan attention.

While Sonnen didn't explicitly name McGregor, he used 'Irishman' as a descriptor for whomever he was referring to. Moreover, few other Irishmen in combat sports are known for wearing suits and having brushes with the law. So, although he came just short of naming McGregor, there's little doubt that it is him.

"Anybody interested in buying a bunch of cheap, poorly-tailored, ugly suits? Trying to help an Irish friend of mine pay hefty legal costs......"

This isn't the first time Sonnen and McGregor have chirped at each other. Both men are among MMA's most renowned trash talkers, with 'The American Gangster' paving the way for the likes of McGregor to use the gift of gab to elevate his drawing power in the sport.

Fans flocked to Sonnen's tweet, forming a thread under it to share their thoughts. It was a divided reaction, with one fan even tagging the ex-UFC double champion to egg him on to respond.

"@TheNotoriousMMA you going to let him talk about you like that?"

Others opted to remind Sonnen of his own past legal troubles.

"That time in Vegas .... With the elderly couple .... What happened there?"

Though some agreed with Sonnen.

The Irish High Court recently found the Irishman liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in a Dec. 2018 incident, causing him to lose the civil court case. It has led to a tremendous fall from grace, with numerous business partners turning their backs on McGregor. However, his legal situation has only worsened.

Now, McGregor is facing another lawsuit, this one relating to an alleged sexual assault at Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals in Miami, Florida.

The relationship between Conor McGregor and Chael Sonnen wasn't always frosty or tense. Years ago, during the Irishman's featherweight rise, Sonnen was a fan. In fact, the pair even collaborated on a video wherein they discussed each other's trash talk, comparing it.
