Jon Jones hilariously mimics David Goggins ahead of UFC 285
The upcoming UFC heavyweight title matchup between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane is being hailed as one of the most important fights of Jones' career. Jones featured on UFC 285 Embedded: Vlog Series - Episode 3, which was posted to the UFC's YouTube channel, and 'Bones' appears to be as confident as ever leading up to the fight.
As seen in the video, Jon Jones alluded to his heavyweight sparring partners indulging in delicacies and indicated that perhaps he, too, ought to do the same. However, akin to David Goggins, 'Bones' added that he knows only one way, which is "a little bit of sacrifice," thereby refraining from having cheat meals.
Moreover, he jestingly impersonated Goggins while revealing that he'll accompany him during fight week:
"I'm really excited. David Goggins is going to be hanging out with me all fight week."
Jones then mimicked Goggins and said:
"It's like, 'Jon, you know, you gotta put on your mental kevlar, son. You know? I gotta make sure you're ready to go. You gotta be willing to die for this sh**.' I'm like, 'Yeah, tell me more. Tell me more.'"
