A recent story about Sean Strickland's gym being spied on has gone viral on the internet, capturing the attention of MMA fans around the world. While everyone shared their opinions on the matter, many criticized the fighter who initially broke the news.

For context, the person in question is Strickland's training partner and teammate Chris Curtis, who is set to face Roman Kopylov in a middleweight bout in the co-main event of UFC's first event in 2025, UFC Vegas 101. It will take place on Jan. 11. at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Ahead of their matchup, Curtis posted an Instagram story and claimed that two Russians showed interest in joining the American fighter's team at Extreme Couture under MMA coach Eric Nicksick but disappeared when Kopylov got to Vegas two weeks later and all the three of them trained together.

MMA journalist Alex Behunin took to X and shared 'Action-Man's' accusation, which read:

''Couple weeks ago, two Russians show up looking to be a part of the team. After two weeks they vanish as soon as Kopylov comes to town and are now training together. Sc*mbag move Kopylov''

Fans soon rushed to the comments section to share their reactions.

One fan mocked Curtis and his team, writing:

''How did you guys fall for that''

Another one speculated:

''I wonder how often things like this happen. If gyms have open training, seems like it would be easy to do.''

Other fans wrote:

''I used to like Chris Curtis a lot but he whines way too much. Surprising that him and Sean Strickland are (were?) best friends.''
''Chris is soooooo stupid. Crybaby pu**y batty man. Fu*k would you allow 2 Russians out the blue to join your training sessions ? Then come snitch to the entire world.''

When coach Eric Nicksick gave a humorous response to his UFC fighters' dispute

Even though they were teammates, Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis frequently argued and attacked one another on social media. Earlier this year, Strickland hinted at repairing his connection with the 37-year-old in a humorous video he posted on X.

In response, their MMA coach Eric Nicksick made a hilarious comment, writing:

''I can’t leave town for one minute?! Just wait till Dad gets home to straighten you two out.''
