The much-debated and documented U.S. presidential race is reaching a fever pitch as former President Donald Trump goes toe-to-toe with Vice President Kamala Harris in the polls. With the election now in full swing, celebrities and notable personalities are declaring their votes on social media.

One such notable celebrity is best-selling pop music artist Katy Perry, who posted her endorsement of Harris as the next president on X:

"This is @KamalaHarris. She’s gonna be… well… We’re the only ones who can finish this sentence 🗳️🇺🇸 VOTE!"

While the post received much love from her fans, Perry also had some detractors, most notably former UFC welterweight Ben Askren. 'Funky' replied to the post with a rather scathing line of questioning:

"How many diddy parties you been to??"

There's no guessing who Askren is voting for. The former ONE and Bellator world champion is just one of many MMA fighters supporting Harris' rival, the Republican candidate Trump. The former U.S. president is a huge fan of the sport, often attending UFC events live with his friend, UFC president Dana White.

Joe Rogan clarifies the reason why Kamala Harris podcast didn't happen

A little over a week ago, presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared on Joe Rogan Experience and turned many heads. Not only was the Republican presidential candidate candid in his answers with Rogan, but he was also willing to sit down and have a casual conversation for over three hours. The episode rose and went on to become the second-most watched JRE episode ever with 44 million views.

Unsurprisingly, talks of Trump's rival Harris, going on the ultra-popular podcast started going around. This never came to be and Rogan explained why in a separate episode, saying:

"She [Harris] had an opportunity to come here when she was in Texas and I literally gave them an open invitation. I said 'Anytime'. I said if she's done at 10 o'clock we'll come back here [JRE studios] at 10 o'clock. Ill do it at 9 iin the morning. I'll do it 10 PM. I'll do it at midnight. If she's up, she wants to, you know, drink a Red Bull and f*cking party on."

Rogan then revealed why it ultimately didn't happen, as Harris' team wanted to do it on her turf, not in Rogan's studio as Trump did. The veteran podcaster said:

"Their camp reached out to me so I said 'Great! I'd love to talk to her'. But it was very difficult to tie it down. And they wanted [me] to travel. See the thing is like, if I go somewhere, there's going to be other people in the room. And they want to control a lot of things, according to the Brett Brier interview on Fox. Like, people were waving him off. That's a distaction. My whole goal with her and with him [Trump] is just talk. Have a conversation like a human being."
