Conor McGregor joined the UFC in 2013 as a hot Irish prospect from the feeder league Cage Warriors. 'The Notorious' more than lived up to the promises of stardom and took the sport to a whole new level.
Since turning professional in 2008, McGregor has amassed a 22-6 overall record, which includes 19 KO/TKO victories. The Dubliner has had 14 UFC outings so far, which is exactly half the number of his total fights.
McGregor's UFC record includes eight KO wins, two decision victories, and four stoppage losses. The Irishman started his UFC career with a seven-fight winning streak topped off by his 13-second KO win over Jose Aldo before being handed his first promotional loss by Nate Diaz.
The Irishman avenged his loss to Diaz and went on to win his second title by dethroning Eddie Alvarez, which was probably the highest point of his career so far.

'The Notorious' dropped a subsequent title shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov and briefly bounced back with a stoppage win over Donald Cerrone before going on a two-fight skid against Dustin Poirier.
Prior to his UFC career, Conor McGregor competed 14 times in regional Irish promotions and went on to become a double champ in the UFC feeder league Cage Warriors. He finished all 12 of his victories outside the UFC, which even included a submission, but suffered two submission losses as well.
Conor McGregor's next fight
Conor McGregor has been out of action for over a year and a half, nursing a broken leg that he suffered in his last outing against Dustin Poirier. After a seemingly never-ending cruise around Europe on his Lamborghini superyacht, McGregor is finally ready to return to the octagon.
Fans of the Irishman were overjoyed when Dana White recently confirmed his return as a coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter. McGregor will feature opposite Michael Chandler on TUF, which will air from May 30 to August 15.
'The Notorious' will then take on Chandler on a PPV card, the date for which is yet to be announced.
Chandler has boldly predicted a second-round stoppage win over the returning Conor McGregor.
