In his most recent outing, Cub Swanson made his debut in UFC's bantamweight division against Jonathan Martinez. Sadly, Swanson's first outing in the division didn't go well, with Martinez finishing the fight in the second round at UFC Fight Night: Grasso vs. Araujo earlier this month.

However, while competing under the King of the Cage banner back in 2005, Swanson fought twice in the bantamweight division. 'Killer' took on Armando Sanchez and Mike Corey in KOTC and beat both fighters via stoppage as neither challenger made it past round two.

Cub Swanson recently stated that he plans to stay in the 135lbs division until retirement. He also revealed a sadistic wish of wanting to suffer more in the twilight of his MMA career.

While speaking to the UFC, Swanson stated:

"But for me to be comfortable retiring down the road here shortly, I wanted to know that I gave it my all, and I needed to suffer more and give a little more to this sport."

'Killer' went into detail about his potential retirement and said that maybe after a couple of years, the 38-year-old will "re-evaluate" his MMA career. Swanson began fighting professionally back in 2004 and currently has a respectable pro MMA record of 28-13.

What is Cub Swanson's longest UFC winning streak?

Cub Swanson has struggled in recent years inside the octagon. However, the American previously went on a long winning streak in the organization. Between 2012 and 2014, Swanson won six consecutive bouts, his best winning streak in the UFC.

'Killer' managed to get the better of George Roop, Ross Pearson, Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, Dennis Siver and Jeremy Stephens during this impressive run of form. The now 38-year-old's win against Roop was only his second outing under the UFC banner.

Cub Swanson's second-longest win streak came during 2016 and 2017, when he beat four UFC opponents in a row. Hacran Dias, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Doo Ho Choi and Artem Lobov all failed to beat 'Killer' during this run.

However, as mentioned, Swanson has struggled to consistently win during his recent outings. In his last ten UFC outings, 'Killer' has amassed six losses.
