Kevin Lee will be returning to combat sports, albeit without the gloves, and this news is getting many talking. Gamebred Bareknuckle has signed on Lee for his first ever bare-knuckle mixed martial arts bout on Nov.15.

The former UFC interim lightweight title challenger will do battle with Brazilian combatant Saul "The Spider" Almeida. Almeida has a wealth of MMA and gloved boxing experience having fought names like Calvin Kattar, Rob Font, and Goiti Yamauchi to name a few.

While he has fought under some big promotional banners such as Bellator and WSOF (now PFL), Almeida is also on a lengthy losing skid and without a win in over two and a half years.

Kevin Lee and where he fits into all of this

Kevin Lee could potentially put a fresh coat of paint on his professional fighting endeavors with a desired outcome at Gamebred Bare Knuckle MMA 8.

There are a pair of UFC vets also set to throw down on this card who could conceivably fight Lee next if he wins his bare knuckle debut. This referenced bout will see Curtis Millender take on Jesse Ronson.

This Ronson versus Millender bout will see the victor positioned for a chance to become the inaugural Gamebred BKMMA welterweight champion. There's also a bit of a narrative there if Ronson and Lee win their respective fights. The two fought in the UFC with Lee winning via split decision at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale in July 2014.

Lee also has a gloved MMA fight booked before this Gamebred foray and it's set to go down later this week. He will test skills with Thiago Oliveira at Lights Out Championship 17 on Sept. 28. Getting in two prizefights to close out the year would be a good way for Kevin Lee to draw more buzz in a calendar year where he has not competed.

The last time Lee fought professionally saw him get finished by Rinat Fakhretdinov with a guillotine choke less than a minute into the first round in July last year.
